ABOUT THIS SITE:
It is our intention to make Revelation a little easier to understand, and a little less scary. On the surface, some of the imagery used in the prophecies made in both Daniel and Revelation is more than a little bit terrifying. When we dig a little deeper, we see that we're looking at a timeline of events, and then we realize the "end" may not be that far away. We would like you to see this as an opportunity to learn about and get to know Jesus, and maybe even experience the joy of the Sabbath for yourself.
The site is named Hiway to Sabbath. Hiway is not a road, it's the nickname of the site's founder, Wayne. We would like you to think of it as, not just Hiway to Sabbath, but Brandi to Sabbath, and hopefully [your name] to Sabbath as well. Please enjoy!
Brandi is my friend who helps me with graphics and web design.
Brandi is my friend. She and I have been researching this information together and she helps me with graphic design and web layout. She also grew up going to church on Sunday, but quit going altogether when she was in college. She started coming to church with me in 2015 and has become a Seventh Day Adventist as well.

My name is Wayne, but I like to go by Hiway. I used to go to church on Sundays for close to 41 years. I attended Bible study after Bible study, wanting to understand God. I was also a stay-at-home dad to four wonderful children, for 14 years. I remember one Easter Sunday, watching my kids play in a soccer game, and thinking to myself that this was wrong, that this day is supposed to be about Jesus, and we shouldn't be out there worshiping a soccer game. I wanted to be closer to God. Not long after, my wife was asking for a divorce and we were separated. She took the kids and I was left alone to try to pull my life together. I needed God more than ever. I decided to try other churches. I made a decision to spend one month at each church. I started with the Jehovah Witnesses. In the meantime, I was listening to a station on the radio and watching a channel on the TV that spoke of the seventh day Sabbath, and when they mentioned that the Jehovah Witnesses were an offshoot of their church, I decided to try them next. I wasn't disappointed. Their sermons seemed to go along with what the Bible said. It didn't take long before I realized I was a Seventh Day Adventist. There is definitely something special about resting on the Sabbath day. I feel so much closer to God on that day and I hope I am able to inspire others to check out the Sabbath for themselves.
